The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, synthesis, characterization, and optimization of small molecule novel drug candidates for various drug discovery targets. This position involves the planning and execution of research projects, supervision of associates engaged in medicinal chemistry research and close interaction with discovery groups in biological research.

Requirements |

A PhD in organic/ medicinal chemistry |
|
3-5 years of industrial experience |
|
Demonstrated experience in multi-step syntheses of complex molecules and development of new syntheses strategies |
|
Skills for purification and characterization of novel compounds/ drug candidates are required. Familiarity with the operation and interpretation of NMR, MS, HPLC, IR, GC and other spectroscopic methods are essential |
|
Experience with combinatorial chemistry, solid and solution phase parallel synthesis and automated synthesis methods would be an advantage |
|
Strong communication skills and a commitment to working in a team environment |
