The informatics group supports all stages of drug discovery & development with a state-of-the-art computational and informatics platform. S*BIO’s corporate database contains a vast array of chemical and biological data from all tested compounds. The informatics group’s main responsibilities are:
- Provide chemoinformatics support
- Maintain corporate databases
- Develop proprietary informatics software
- Provide support for scientific software
- Provide bioinformatics support
An extensive web-based informatics portal has been developed as an interface for the corporate database and chemical inventory. The interface allows scientists to search for chemical structures, analytical data and spectra as well as biological information, and physical and chemical property prediction and molecular modeling capabilities are also integrated with the portal.
