2006 News & Press Releases 8 November 2006 - S*BIO Presents Data At EORTC On Lead Histone Deacetylase Inhibitor SB939 26 October 2006 - S*BIO Appoints Joy Zhu Senior Vice President of Global Clinical Development 16 October 2006 - New Senior Vice President, Global Clinical Development S*BIO welcomes Dr Joy Zhu, as its new Senior Vice President for Global . Dr Zhu leads S*BIO’s oncology clinical research group and is responsible for spearheading the company’s clinical development strategies and activities, from Phase I to Phase IV trials. 18 September 2006 - New Director, Clinical Operations S*BIO welcomes Dr Yvonne Tan, as its new Director, Clinical Operations. Dr Tan plays a key role in S*BIO’s clinical programme, providing medical support, clinical input and operational management for the company’s oncology programme. 31 July 2006 - Channel News Asia Singapore Business Tonight featured S*BIO in a segment which focused on how Singapore's biomed sector will receive an additional $1.44 billion to boost its 2nd phase of development, for research that will lead to new treatments and clinical procedures. S*BIO's clinical candidate SB939 was mentioned, along with news that more information on the clinical trials will be released later in 2006. Stephen Rhind was interviewed, who spoke on the potential revenue from a new cancer drug, and Philip Yeo was interviewed, who spoke on Singapore's need to build up clinician scientists. 8 July 2006 – The Straits Times Singapore firm develops new cancer drug 7 July 2006 - S*BIO Develops Singapore's First Clinical Candidate For Cancer 1 July 2006 - New Head of Biology S*BIO welcomes Dr Jeanette Wood, as its new Head of Biology. Dr Wood brings on board her extensive experience in all aspects of drug discovery to lead S*BIO's biology research groups. 15 May 2006 - New Head of Chemistry Dr Brian Dymock joins S*BIO, as its new Head of Chemistry. He will lead the department's efforts in identifying lead compounds and pre-clinical development candidates. 1 Apr 2006 - New Member of Board of Directors Mr. Lawrence Wong joins us as a new member of the Board of Directors. Currently he is the Head of Listing at SGX.
