Mr. Philip Yeo (Chairman)
Philip Yeo is currently the Special Advisor for Economic Development (Prime Minister’s Office) and Chairman of SPRING Singapore (a government development agency with the mission of nurturing Local Enterprises especially Small and Medium Enterprises.)
As Special Advisor for Economic Development in the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Yeo assists the Prime Minister’s Office in establishing new economic links with foreign governments who value Singapore’s development experience, and provide strategic inputs to establish strategic partnerships and open up opportunities with other fast growing economies.
Mr. Yeo is recognized for his contributions to Singapore’s economic development and his pioneering role in the promotion and development of the country’s information technology, semiconductor and chemical industries and the biomedical sciences.

Dr Göran Ando (Vice Chairman)
Dr Ando is the former Executive Vice President and President of Research & Development of Pharmacia Corporation which was acquired by Pfizer Inc. in 2003. In April 2003, he accepted the appointment as Chief Executive Officer with CellTech Group PLC in the United Kingdom until its acquisition in 2004 by UCB.
Dr Ando is currently Chairman of Novexel SA, Paris and Vice Chairman of Novo Nordisk A/S, Copenhagen. In addition, Dr Ando is a Senior Adviser to Essex Woodlands Health Ventures and on the board or advisory committees of several life sciences companies.
Dr Ando is a Specialist in General Medicine and is a Founding Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology in the US.

Ms. Chu Swee Yeok
Ms Chu Swee Yeok is the Chief Executive Officer of EDB Investments (EDBI), the strategic investment arm of the Singapore Economic Development Board. She has over 20 years of track record and experience in investments, strategic planning, technology and industry development.
Concurrently, Swee Yeok is also the Chief Executive Officer of Bio*One Capital Pte Ltd (Bio*One), a subsidiary of EDBI, which operates as a dedicated investment company responsible for investments in high-growth global biomedical companies. Since her appointment as CEO in 2004, Swee Yeok successfully led the Bio*One team through many transformational and impactful biomedical investments in Singapore and globally.
In addition to serving on the boards of EDBI and Bio*One, Swee Yeok holds a number of board positions in portfolio companies including A-Bio Pharmaceuticals, MerLion Pharmaceuticals Pte Ltd and The Novartis Institute of Tropical Diseases (NITD) in Singapore.

Mr Choo Heng Tong
Heng Tong holds dual appointments as Senior Director (Investments) at Bio*One Capital and EDB Investments. He has over 12 years of experience in investments and industry development; including M&As, strategic planning, business development, and international growth into new markets, involving both multi-nationals and start-up organizations. Prior to joining Bio*One, he was with the Singapore Economic Development Board where he worked with various industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and engineering companies to grow their business and operations in Asia. Currently, Heng Tong also serves on the board of several companies including Inviragen Inc, Lonza Biologics Tuas Pte Ltd and Maccine Pte Ltd. He was previously a board member of Artisan Pharma Inc, CombinatoRx Singapore Pte Ltd and SingVax Pte Ltd; and also a board observer at Inotek Pharmaceuticals Corp and Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc.


Dr. John Diekman
Dr. Diekman is a founder and Managing Partner of 5AM Ventures, an early stage life science venture capital fund. He is also a founder of Bay City Capital, a venture capital organisation, the Vice Chairman of Affymetrix Inc., a leading company that develops and markets DNA chip technology and the Vice Chairman of Bio*One Capital, a subsidiary of EDB Investments. He has extensive experience in the areas of managing and investing in biomedical sciences companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Ms. Tamar Howson (Interim CEO)


Mr Jean-Philippe Tripet
Jean-Philippe Tripet, managing partner and founder of Aravis, has over 15 years experience as portfolio manager and financial analyst. In 1994 he co-founded the Lombard Odier Immunology fund that became one of the most successful healthcare funds in Europe under his supervision. He has supervised over 70 private investments.
Since 1994 Jean-Philippe Tripet has participated actively to the launch and financing of many successful start-up companies such as Modex, Novimmune, Cytos, Genedata, Esbatech and Novalon. He is a member of the board of directors of Evolva, MerLion, Symetis Omeros, S Bio, TelorMedix and Synosia.
He has a degree in business administration from the University of Geneva, did graduate studies in San Diego (USA) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
