Board of Directors (BOD) Mr. Philip Yeo Mr. Yeo is currently the Chairman of Bio*One Capital, and concurrently the Chairman of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and Co-Chairman of the Economic Development Board leading and overseeing Singapore's biomedical sciences initiative. Dr Göran Ando Dr Göran Ando is chairman of Novexel SA and Trigen Ltd and member of the boards of Novo Nordisk A/S, Enzon Pharmaceuticals, NicOx S.A., Elan Corporation, plc, A-Bio Pharma Pte Ltd and Bio*One Capital Pte Ltd. He was Celltech Group Chief Executive in April 2003. Dr Ando joined Celltech from Pharmacia (Pfizer) where from 1995 he was executive Vice President and President of R&D with additional responsibilities for manufacturing, IT, business development and M&A. Prior to this, Dr Ando spent six years at Glaxo Group starting in 1989 as Medical Director, moving to Deputy R & D Director and then R & D Director, and was a member of the Group Executive Committee. Dr Ando is a Specialist in General Medicine and is a Founding Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology in the US. Dr. John Diekman Dr. Diekman is a founder and Managing Partner of 5AM Ventures, an early stage life science venture capital fund. He is also a founder of Bay City Capital, a venture capital organisation, the Vice Chairman of Affymetrix Inc., a leading company that develops and markets DNA chip technology and the Vice Chairman of Bio*One Capital, a subsidiary of EDB Investments. He has extensive experience in the areas of managing and investing in biomedical sciences companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Ms. Chu Swee Yeok Ms Chu is the Chief Executive Officer of Bio*One Capital, the biomedical fund management company of the Singapore Economic Development Board. Bio*One manages the largest dedicated fund for biomedical sciences in Asia and has a portfolio of over 80 companies. Ms Chu has some two decades of investment & technology promotion as well as strategy and business development track record in the field. Ms Chu was instrumental in leading many successful negotiations with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on their investments in Singapore. Dr. Jan-Anders Karlsson (CEO) Dr. Axel Ullrich Dr. Ullrich is the Director of the Department of Molecular Biology at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry (MPIB) in Martinsried. Among main breakthrough discoveries on his record, Dr. Ullrich was instrumental in the development of the recombinant human insulin (Humulin, Eli Lilly) and Herceptin (Genentech) as drugs for the treatment of diabetes and breast cancer respectively. Besides other honors bestowed on him, he has been awarded the King Faisal International Prize 2003 for Medicine (Breast Cancer). He is one of the most frequently cited scientists worldwide and founded three biotech companies – Sugen Inc. Axxima A.G. and U3 Pharma A.G. Mr. Lawrence Wong Mr. Wong is the Head of Listing at the SGX. Prior to joining the SGX, he was part of the senior management team at OCBC Bank. During his tenure at the bank, his portfolio included corporate finance, securities and futures, fund management and private equity. Prior to joining OCBC Bank, he held several senior positions at the Schroder Group in Asia Pacific. Mr. Wong also sits on the Council for Corporate Disclosure & Governance and serves on the Appeal Advisory Committee for Securities & Futures Act, Financial Advisers Act, Insurance Act, Trust Companies Act and Business Trust Act.
