Partnerships

S*BIO translates a profound understanding of cancer biology into best-in-class clinical compounds, establishing us as a preferred partner and collaborator in the development of innovative cancer treatments. S*BIO therefore seeks partnerships with both commercial and scientific organizations to expand the clinical development and marketing options for our product candidates. Working with these partners should improve the chances of rapid approval for our compounds as well as help to reduce their time to market.

We seek partners who are able to actively participate in the clinical development and future plans for our compounds by adding value to our research and development or commercialization capabilities.

We would aim to retain ownership of our compounds, whilst creating equitable licensing, co-development and co-promotional partnerships.

In addition, we are interested in collaboration opportunities to exploit non-oncology opportunities for our compounds.

Current partnerships

Tragara Pharmaceuticals, Inc

In January 2009 S*BIO announced a development collaboration with Tragara Pharmaceuticals, Inc., granting Tragara a worldwide exclusive license to develop and commercialize our novel multi-kinase inhibitor SB1317.

S*BIO will perform certain preclinical activities under the agreement; Tragara is responsible for all IND enabling, development and commercialization activities.

SB1317 development will be initially focused on the treatment of hematologic malignancies and Tragara will also explore the therapeutic potential of the compound’s activity in solid tumors.

For more information on the collaboration, please see the press release
